Runescape Dharok's Greataxe

Dharoks Greataxe Runescape

One of the more powerful melee weapons in the world of RuneScape is Dharok's greataxe. It is a part of the Dharok the Wretched's set of equipment and requires both an attack and strength of 70 to use. When equipped, the greataxe provides the fifth highest strength bonus available in the game and the second highest crush bonus. On the downside, it is a very slow weapon with a speed similar to a two handed sword. This means your opponents are going to get in several hits for each one of yours. Its incredible attach power and crushing attacks, however, make up for this.

Note that Dharok's Greataxe cannot be made via smithing. It, like all of the Dharok's set, can only be won from the Barrow's mini-game.

Requirements:
Must be a member
Must have Strength of 70
Must have an Attack power of 70

Bonuses:
Strength: +105
Crush: +95
Stab: -4
Magic: -4
Ranged: -1
Speed: fairly slow

If equipped as a part of the full Dharok set, players may hit in the high 90s, and some have reported hitting for as much as 110 damage per swing. When wielded with the rest of the set, players also gain access to a special attack. As the player's hit points decrease, the damage caused by Dharok's Greataxe increases. When a player is at ten percent of their max health or lower, the weapon will actually do double damage—up to 112 damage points.

Note that when doing the White Guthix Sleeps quest, a character's abilities will be increased to 255. While this would allow for Dharok's Greataxe to hit for over 270 damage, the player's hit points are automatically restored to 255 whenever they get damaged. This means that the player will never get down to ten percent of health, so the greataxe will never do this huge amount of damage.

As with all weapons, Dharok's Greataxe will degrade over time. It will eventually drop from 100 percent to 75 with use, then degrade farther. To repair it, you must visit the Tindel Merchant located in Port Khazard or go to Bob's Axes in Lumbridge. The price to fix the greataxe will depend on how much it degraded. To repair it from zero will cost 100,000 gold.

Many woodcutters equip the axe along with the Woodcutting skill cape to both show off their high level woodcutting skill and to look similar to the Woodcutting Tutor character. Note, however, that the greataxe can't actually be used to cut down trees.

Dharok's Greataxe is also a favorite weapon for use when battling the TzHaar-Ket and the TzHaar-Xil in the city of TzHaar because of its high strength bonus.

When Dharok's Greataxe was first introduced to the game, the character held it over his/her shoulder. Then this was changed to holding it with both hands. Then the greataxe was changed back to being held over the shoulder. Due to changing the graphics several times, the weapon actually glitched for a time. During this time, it was held more like the Dragon Longsword.

RuneScape Dungeoneering

RuneScape Dungeoneering Logo
Dungeoneering in RuneScape is a new skill that was only introduced in April 2010. This is something that is open to any of the 10 million users of RuneScape; members and free players. The great thing about Dungeoneering is that it also allows you to increase your other skill levels as well the ones you need for this part of the game.

RuneScape Dungeoneering is a skill which you develop in a castle called Daemonheim. In order to be able to perform well in the castle the players will have needed to develop skills already prior to arriving. Daemonheim has 35 underground floors and it is here that players develop their Dungeoneering. The aim is for players to use their existent skills to clear all the different floors inside the castle.

The maximum level you can reach in Dungeonerring is "True Skill Mastery" and you can reach all the way to level 120. Nobody has yet managed to reach the highest level of 120 but a few have made it to 99. A nice aspect of Dungeonerring is that you can work as part of a team, but you can work alone if you are a true one man show. The skilling materials and items inside Damonheim are unique to this place, but the skills learnt elsewhere will certainly come in handy.

RuneScape Dungeoneering

If you hope to enjoy the experience of RuneScape Dungeoneering you will need to make your way to Daemonheim. The journey there should give you an opportunity to develop your skills. Daemonheim is located east of Wilderness on a large peninsula. There are a few different ways of getting there but including; teleporting using the Ring of Kinship, taking a ship from behind the Al Kharid bank, or making your way through the wilderness. Once you arrive at Daemonheim you then need to follow the path up the mountain. You will see a question mark on your mini map and this is where you should enter the castle. Here you will find the Dungeoneering tutor; to make life easier you can now ask for a Ring of Kinship and be able to return easily.

RuneScape Dungeonerring is a great addition to the game and well worth checking out. The fact that it is open to non-members is an additional bonus and it does allow for players to improve their skills. The fact that it is also possible to play as a member of a team also makes Daemonheim the place to be.

RuneScape Merchanting Items

The RuneScape world allows players to buy and trade items. This can occur at the Grand Exchange market place or on a one to one basis. There are numerous RuneScape Merchanting items that players may want to buy or sell. In fact this type of trade accounts for a lot of the fun in the game. In the past there have been problems with exploitative trades but Jagex has gone a long way to eliminating this problem.

The availability of RuneScape merchanting items varies with demand and supply. Here are some popular items that you should usually be able to find.
- Water Vials from Ardougne. You buy these in from the general store and they have already been filled with water. It should be possible to sell these for a profit at the Grand Exchange.
- Kebabs can be found in Al Kharid from the Karim and can be bought for 1 GP each; it is possible to later sell these for up to fifty times that amount.
- Silk can also be found at Al Kharid 2-3 GP and can be easily sold for three times this amount.
- Rune Armour and Weapons. It is possible to obtain armour and weapons in one world and then sell it for a higher price in a different world.
- Lobsters – it is worthwhile buying lobsters at the Grand Exchange and then selling them at Edgeville.

Runescape Merchanting Items

- Flax – you can buy Flax at the Grand Exchange and then turn it into bowstrings which you can later sell at a profit.
- Green Dragon Hides – you can buy these and after tanning them you can sell for a profit.
- Oak Logs- it is possible to buy oak logs for 6GP each and then later sell them for as much as 30 GP; although you may have to store them in your bank until demand is high.

These are just a few of the items that you can buy, sell, or trade through RuneScape merchanting. This type of exchange really does add to the fun so make sure you get involved.

RuneScape Thieving

Runescape Thieving Thieving is rampant in RuneScape and it has become one of the most appreciated skills you can develop. It is possible for you to become an occasional pickpocket or if this does not satisfy you then why not become a full-time criminal. The only down side to all of this is that you have to be a member if you want to practice the skills of thievery.

Thieving is a really useful skill and the better you get at it the more uses you will find for this skill. The more you practice the better you will get at it; isn’t that always the way? In the beginning you will be able to get your hands on a few modest items that you otherwise would have needed to pay for, but later you can have far more ambitious aims. The one thing you must understand about thieving is that it is not without risk; in fact if you are not extremely stealthy and quick witted it could lead to all sorts of danger.

The most basic form of thieving is picking pockets and this is the best place for you to start your journey into criminality. It should be noted though that it is only possible to pick pocket some type of players. Once you choose a likely candidate it is simply a matter of clicking on them and selecting the pick pocket option from the menu; get it right and you might have added a little to your wealth but get it wrong and you should expect a beating.

Picking pockets is the low end when it comes to thieving and is not going to satisfy the budding criminal for long. The next challenge should be looting market stalls. The stall owners can be very protective over their merchandise but if you are quick enough you should be able to add to your bounty. Once you see something you want on a market stall all you have to do is click the button "steal from market stall".
Unlocking doors is the next step up the thieving ladder. You should look out for locked doors and use this as a chance to practice your picking locks skill. In order to get your hands on a lock pick you will need to steal one from a Rogue.

So there you have just a basic introduction to RuneScape thieving. If you want to become good at it remember to practice a lot and don’t forget to drink your Bandit’s brew every day as this increases your thieving ability.
